Lucija Jurišić
DVM, PhD candidate
Lucija Jurisic graduated in 2019 as a DVM, defending the first thesis in the English language at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb. During the same year, she enrolled in a PhD program within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Teramo, and the Virology Unit of Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise in Teramo, Italy. Her current activity involves research on the interaction of flaviviruses in the murine model, and the diagnosis and genomic characterization of SARS-CoV-2. Her domain of scientific interest is the pathogenesis of zoonotic viruses, animal models, virus characterization, scientific communication and veterinary public health.
